Paju Book City is the one and only publishing and cultural industrial complex in Korea, born from the genuine desire of publishers to create a new type of community.

This unique space fosters an unprecedented culture where books, people, play, and nature converge. The area is home to publishing, design, printing, distribution, film, and art-related companies, greatly enhancing operational efficiency.

It also provides spaces for the public to enjoy books, such as bookstores, museums, and book cafes.

The Book City Culture Foundation is a non-profit organization established in December 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the aim of promoting Paju Book City, Korea's only national cultural industrial complex.

The foundation operates the Asia Publication Culture & Information Center, a multifunctional cultural facility located in the heart of Paju Book City. It has also established the open, multifunctional cultural space ‘Forest of Wisdom,’ dedicated to promoting a national reading movement, and has hosted various international conferences and cultural events.

Through these efforts, the foundation aims to promote Paju Book City globally, provide high-quality knowledge and information to the people of Korea, and position the area as a central hub for a book-reading culture.
